How to find Bensons Hotel - If you are coming from the Wirral, Bebington, Birkenhead, Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, follow M53 / M56 for Wrexham, continue along the Wrexham bypass towards Oswestry, take the Llangollen exit near Ruabon and follow signs through Acrefair & Trevor, enter Llangollen along Mill Street A539, turn left over bridge and turn left again by the Royal into Bridge Street.
You will find the Hotel some 50 yards on the left next to HSBC Bank. A free overnight parking permit is available at the Hotel to guests, to park in Bridge Street.
Travelling from Birmingham, Leicester, London and the South, Hereford, Bristol, Newport etc head for Shrewsbury, then Oswestry along the A5 Trunk Road. Passing Chirk, through Froncysyllte or Fron as they say locally, enter Llangollen, turn right at the main traffic lights, continue down Castle Street which is the main shopping street passing Spar (you can see most of the shops on our website), Village Bakery, National Westminister Bank, Y Capel, Tourist Information Centre, turn right by the Royal Hotel at the bottom of the street (if you have gone over the bridge, turn around and take your first left).
Arriving from Llanidloes, Builth Wells, Rhyader, Cardigan, Llandrindod Wells, Llanfyllin, Llanerfyl, Llanfair Caereinion, Newtown, Aberystwyth areas, follow directions for Oswestry.
From Machynlleth, Fairbourne, Dolgellau, Harlech, Barmouth, Penrhyndaedraeth, Minffordd, Porthmadog, Criccieth, Tremadog, Caernarfon head for Bala and continue down to Corwen on the A5, Llangollen is then only 10 miles or so, turn left now at the traffic lights in the town and right by the Royal.
You will find Bensons listed under Hotels, Restaurants & Bars in the towns information centre. The hotel has an interesting decor of paintings, art and antiques.
In Bridge Street we have Lola a Ladies Fashions shop, gales wine bar, cornerstones, pubs, chinese restaurant, Wynnstay, The Hand, Antique Shop, Jenevieve ladies fashions.
